The AccordHotel brand is innovating and creating accommodation of a completely new kind, an “Open House” under the name Jo&Joe, to appeal to Millennials. It is neither a hotel, nor a youth hostel or let, rather it is a hybrid concept. The idea is to create a meeting place for travellers (tripsters) and residents from the local area (townsters).
And the first of these unusual establishments opened in Hossegor, in Landes.
In this seaside resort known for surfing, over a 1 hectare tree-lined terrain, 400 metres from the beach, the renovation work on a Basque-Landes style building and its annexe is coming to an end. The rather trendy and rather cool interior décor has been designed in collaboration with the designers from Quiksilver and Roxy.
Jo&Joe Hossegor has 145 beds with different sleeping areas: the “Together” (accommodating 7 to 12 people), the “Out of the Ordinary” (accommodating 10 people) and the “Yours” (a capacity of 2 to 5 people). It is also possible to reserve beds in shared rooms.
For the shared rooms, there is the “Happy House” reserved for tripsters (washing machine, kitchen, etc.) and the “Playground” with a bar and a restaurant, open to everyone.
Lastly, the new brand from AccordHotels plans to set-up in Bordeaux in 2018.
Low season from €19.
High season from €40.
Complete menus from €10.
Master classes, yoga, paddle board and events will be organised with the participation of the Quicksilver and Roxy brands.
